New Craft Fails

So this week I tried out a new craft. Has anyone ever done felting? I can't stand it, but I gave it a try. It was awesome stress relief, but it has taken so long to do just the tiniest amount of work. I think that I'll stick to what you've seen me do so far: Plastic canvas, Beaded Flowers, and some jewelry. I forgot my flashdrive at the library last night, so no pictures today. Hopefully I'm smart enough to remember to get it after work today.

Weather

The weather is so cold that I can't stand to work on projects for more than a few minutes at a time. Hopefully it will warm up soon, but I don't think that I'll be able to finish my gingerbread house before Christmas.




Below I've shown several pictures of a chainmaille bag that my husband made. It is the perfect size for credit cards and change.

Count Down

It's time now to start a Christmas countdown! 9 DAYS!!! The big question is will it be long enough to finish the project that I'm working on? I'm making a ginger bread house box, but I doubt that it will be done before the holiday. I've not even cut out all the pieces and none of them are completed. I have however gotten as far as I'm going this season on another project because I haven't a clue how I'm going to finish it. Picture to come!

Lots of Kisses!

Here are a few items that are called Squeezums or Kissers. They are really fun because when you press their cheeks they open their mouths so that you can hide small treasures inside. Kids love them because you can make them open and close their mouths as though they were talking to you.

Daily Difficulties

I know there are a number of bloggers who find the time to blog every single day. I'm making an effort to post everyday that I have access to the internet. That means Mon-Fri! Five blog posts doesn't seem like much to those who post more often, but for me it's a lot. I'm working on a number of projects, and I have some pictures that can be shared.

This is a birdhouse that I made at school. The class I work with was making birdhouses out of wood, so I made my own version of a similar project. Long Weekend

I'm exhausted from such a long weekend. I pushed my tired self to a craft show on Saturday and ended up paying for it with a day of icky ill. I did however take some photos of a few new pieces while I was at the show.

This is my table. I was alone for the day because my partner had to work. :(

Below I have some little ornaments. The glare from the overhead lights made the candle look like it was really aflame, but I'm not sure how I managed the effect.

 These poinsettias are part of a wreath I'm working on. It's a really slow process, but I'm only got two more flowers then a  handful of leaves to make. The mouse is guarding a pile of boxes. I needed to pile a lot of items because there was so little space on the table that was provided for me. Next year I'll need to get two tables!!!

                I'm going to be working on more or these alphabet boxes. My goal is to have one of each letter in Purple and Teal, as well as Pink and Purple. I also want to work on making one of each letter in a more masculine color scheme. I was thinking Red and Black or maybe Brown and Green to go on the camo side of things.

One of my holiday projects is finished and photographed: These two gingerbread families make really cute window clings, wall hangings, plant pokes, or even Christmas tree ornaments.

One of my next tasks is to learn to take better photos, but today I don't have the time to go through each file to be sure that they open upright. I don't understand why some file open the way they show up on my drive and some flip around, but I'll check them eventually.
